Duel at Dawn is a Hacksaw Gaming western built on DuelReels, the mechanic where a VS symbol becomes a full wild reel and a stand-off between The Outlaw and The Sheriff sets its multiplier. The Outlaw also appears as a symbol of his own, taking over a reel and shooting extra wilds onto the grid.
Two bonus rounds build on those ideas, one with more frequent big multipliers and one with guaranteed duels.

- Set your stake and spin.
- Wins are formed with paytable symbols; the Wild substitutes for all of them.
- A VS symbol that would complete a win once expanded becomes a DuelReel. Only one VS can land per reel at a time.
- An Outlaw symbol becomes a wild reel and fires wilds onto the grid. A VS and an Outlaw never land on the same spin.
- Three FS scatters start Wild Wild West; four start Dusk 'til Dawn.

- DuelReels
The whole reel turns wild and the surviving duelist's multiplier applies to it. Possible values are 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 75x, 100x and 200x. Several DuelReels in one win have their multipliers added together.
- The Outlaw
The Outlaw's revolver shows one to six bullets, and each bullet places one wild on the grid. At most two Outlaws land per spin, one per reel, and each Outlaw reel carries a multiplier from the same list. Outlaw multipliers in one win are added together.
- Wild Wild West
Ten free spins with the base game rules, but with better chances of high multipliers and more VS and Outlaw symbols. Two FS symbols add 2 spins and three add 4.
- Dusk 'til Dawn
Ten free spins in which VS symbols appear only during DuelSpins. Firing a full six-bullet revolver unlocks a DuelSpin, up to four in total, each adding 3 free spins. The DuelSpins guarantee at least 2, 3 and 4 VS symbols, and exactly 5 on the fourth.
