Provably Fair

Last updated 21 October 2026

Frost's original games use a provably-fair system so you can independently verify that every outcome was fair and not altered after your bet.

How it works

Before you play, the server generates a secret seed and shows you a SHA-256 hash of it (the commitment). Your client seed is shown beside it in each game's fairness panel. Each bet increments a nonce.

The outcome is derived from HMAC-SHA256(server seed, client seed : nonce), turned into the game result: the widely-used commit-reveal scheme. Crash is different, because every player shares its round: rounds come from a public chain of SHA-256 hashes fixed in advance. The chain's commitment and salt are published, each round's seed hash is shown before the round starts, and its seed is revealed when it ends, so anyone can recompute its crash point.

Verify it yourself

When you rotate your seed in a game's fairness panel, which you can do whenever no round is open on it, we reveal the previous server seed and start a new pair. You can hash the revealed seed to confirm it matches the commitment you saw beforehand, then recompute every outcome from that seed and your client seed, proving nothing was changed.

Third-party games

Games from external providers run on the provider's own certified RNG. Their return-to-player and fairness are governed by the provider's certification.
